Hi!
I’m Dylan Paterson and I am so happy you found my blog! Not to bore you, this about me section won’t be too long. However, for those who are interested in why do I do what I do, keep on reading!
The only place that can be considered my true home is Canada. However, since I started traveling 5 years ago, I discovered that being around people is what feels most heart-warming.
However, I always feel a little overwhelmed when I travel because I don’t really know anything about what I am getting into. I always look for information on the internet about things I’m not too sure about the country I’m going to. I think this is important because if you don’t have any idea of what you’re doing you’re likely to get lost really quickly.
I always tell people that it’s important to learn how to communicate effectively while traveling – I know I sound cheesy, but it’s actually very important. When I’m abroad I read a lot and I can often tell what people are saying by their expressions and body language.
I also make sure I get the most out of the places I visit. I’m a solo-traveler, so I don’t always find that the best way to communicate with others is through a phone or email. I talk on the phone and I text others all the time – it’s good to know I have that back up.
If you’re interested on how to prepare for solo-travels, what destinations are safe to visit alone, or you simply are looking for inspiration, check out my blog! Learn from my mistakes, check out my tips and tricks that I have gathered over the years of traveling, and get inspired to start your own adventure!
